Admit it – you love playing the old stuff more than the relatively new on the Guitar Hero games. I’m the same way – I could play “More Than A Feeling” over and over. So, I’m sure you’ll be ecstatic to know that a Guitar Hero consisting entirely of 80’s music is due out on July 17. So far only Seven tracks have been announced, including the original versions of “I Ran” by Flock of Seagulls and “I Wanna Rock” by Twisted Sister. Hot on the heels of this fantastic news came new information about Guitar Hero 3, supposedly due out later this year. So far more original recordings than covers have been announced, which is great news to anyone who slogged through those atrocious covers of Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name” or Guns N Roses’ “Sweet Child o’ Mine.” Really, was it too hard to snag the original recording to “Tonight I’m Gonna Rock You Tonight”?! At any rate, the list is coming along nicely and I can’t wait for some new songs to rock out (read: look stupid hammering on a plastic guitar) to in the near future. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6171269.html (rock the 80’s!) http://www.gamespot.com/news/6171400.html (Guitar Hero 3) |
